Google is expected to come up with a much better camera performance in its Pixel 4-series devices and set a camera standard for smartphones to beat. Although not much is known about the Pixel 4-series devices, it is expected to be launched somewhere around October this year. According to a leak, the Pixel 4 holds a codename of ‘Coral’ while the Pixel 4 XL is codenamed ‘Flame’. Other than the regular and the XL variants of the Pixel 4, another smartphone ‘s codename was revealed as ‘Needlefish’. But the device’s details or name is currently not known but it is estimated that Google might be developing another device to be launched along with these smartphones. The leaker named Phone Designer has revealed some renders and designs of what the Pixel 4 devices may look like. Earlier we saw certain leaks and rumours that the upcoming Pixel 4-series will sport a punch-hole front camera similar to the Samsung Galaxy S10-series. But unlike the Pixel 3-series which came with a single camera, the Pixel 4-series devices might come with dual-rear camera setup on the Pixel 4 XL. The upcoming devices may also come with the in-display fingerprint scanner instead of the regular back-mounted fingerprint scanner.
A recent leak reveals that the upcoming Pixel 4-series devices won’t have any physical buttons. The leak was reported by Slashleaks and it indicates that the Pixel 4-series will come with no power button or volume rocker keys. Instead of the physical buttons, the Pixel 4-series will most probably use the capacitive keys. Slashleaks had also said that Google earlier had patented a display design for the punch-hole display with dual front camera setup along with dual front-firing speakers. So we might get to see this setup in the new Pixel 4 XL. Other than this, the Pixel 4-series might be powered by the Snapdragon 855 SoC and will come with multiple RAM and storage variants. But since these abovementioned specifications are base on leaks, they should be taken with a pinch of salt.
